who is us
business
boneheads
is the creation of Pennsylvania Freelance
Writer/Photographer John E. Budzinski. Budzinski is a graduate of Virginia
Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He has more than 25
years of business experience having worked in companies that
span the realm from low-tech to high-tech, and from family owned to Fortune 500TM.
His background, mostly in operations, includes
Supply Chain and
Materials Management responsibilities in areas such as metal stamping, screw machines, cable and harness, PCB
production, sub-assembly and final assembly areas,
computers, industrial and consumer goods, defense,
pharmaceuticals, logistics, and textiles. He has worked
in discrete and continuous flow manufacturing his experience
includes New Product Introduction.
He rode the back of the Telecommunications Industry
Dragon for a chaotic and electrifying ride from the mid 1990's to
2000 working with customers that included Nokia, Lucent,
Ericsson, Qualcomm, Motorola, Scientific Atlanta, Siemens, Nortel,
and Lucent. Other name-dropped customers (some of who are
still in business) over the years included IBM, United
States Surgical, Raytheon, BIC, Beiersdorf, L'Oreal,
Estee Lauder, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth, Delta Airlines,
American Airlines, Wal-Mart, CVS, and ... and ... and
...
His experience includes
years as Systems Administrator
where he led the an ERP implementation for a large
department of a
major defense contractor. He worked at the farthest reaches
of high-tech in start-ups, including companies formed out of
the Artificial Intelligence Labs of M.I.T. working with LISP
programming. (AI was a great place to be as sometimes his
real intelligence was in hibernation, and as they say,
Artificial Intelligence is better than none!) He has gone
through having his companies both sold and go
belly-up and has been through the IPO madness. He was a part of
the early days of the building of the Internet infrastructure.
His cohorts and colleagues worked for an eclectic group of
companies with the likes of Bytex, Chipcom, Synoptics,
Proteon, Wellfleet,
Bay Networks, Cabletron, and Cisco.
Today he spends time walking,
wondering, worrying, whining, and wily writing whimsical wreakless whereabouts
whims with wallowish want.
