The page you are reading
almost didn't happen. If you are reading this page you no doubt spent at
least a few moments already on my site and see the vast amount of stories
I have here. As much as I love all of this, it sometimes becomes overwhelming.
There is so much to discover, learn about, and assimilate that I have no
choice but to cut things short and find a quick link to one of my Timely
Tie-InsTM.
Such was the case when I first put up Johnny Appleseed. But, then I had the inspiration to visit the library and to do another internet search. The result is listed to the left. I am glad I took a few extra moments, though. You see I learned some interesting things. I bet you didn't know Johnny Appleseed's father, Nathaniel, was one of the Minutemen who fought at Concord, April 19 1775. He also had a sister, Elizabeth, and a brother Nathaniel Jr. And, despite popular belief, he was not a poor man. To the right are some links to information about Johnny Appleseed. I hope you enjoy learning a few things they forgot to tell of of us back in grade school. |
