Some years ago when Cabbage Patch Kids dolls were all the rage, my niece Jennifer had more than her share. She had all shapes, colors, sizes, and nationalities. When I commented to her about the 'interesting collection' of dolls she replied, "Well, it takes all kinds to make a family. That's why we keep you around, Uncle John."

Her wise-guy remarks notwithstanding, Jenny was on to something. It does take all kinds to make a family and a nation. Black History Month is a reminder of that and the links listed below are sites you can visit that will educate, entertain, and make you aware of the contributions our brothers and sisters of African decent made to the growth and development of our country.

These links are just a small sampling of the literally hundreds of sites to explore. They are the ones we think are most significant and educational.

Please take some time this month to expand your mind and understanding by paying them a visit.
